Successful personal & professional relationships are two-way streets.  They are built on respect & communication and require clear expectations. 

To that end, I put together the Christopher Regnier User Manual, a detailed what-to-expect document for working with me.  These are standards I hold myself to and conditions that support my best work.

You are also a unique individual, with tastes & preferences of your own.  I encourage you to outline your own User Manual & share it with me.  That way, I will know how to communicate with & support you in doing your best work.


My Work Philosophy

  • Outcome over hours.  None of us are here to heat office chairs.  We’re here to get results.  It doesn’t matter when we work, where we work, or how long we work (within reason of course).  What matters is we get results.

 

  • Less, but better.  Exceptional quality in everything we do.  We focus on fewer things, done better.

 

  • We respect each other.  We value what each person brings to the table and their worth as a fellow human being.  This affects how we communicate with each other & also how we talk about others when they’re not around.  We have each other’s backs.

 

  • We do our jobs, and do them well.  A successful company is the sum of individuals doing exceptional work in their respective areas.  We rely on each other.  I do my job well.  You do yours well.  We win together.

Communication

  • I prioritize direct, concise communication.  Clear, concise, respectful.

 

  • I prioritize transparency.  We’re on the same team, working towards the same goal.  Bring it to light, with the desire to make us better.

 

  • I prioritize focus & periods of deep work for exceptional results.  I also prioritize life outside of work with my wife & 3 young children.  Thus, I intentionally am not available 24/7.  However, I do my best to respond to all communication with 24 business hours.

 

  • If something isn’t right, please bring it up to me.  My aim is to do exceptional work in an honest, respectful manner.  If something is off, chances are I missed it.  Please bring it to my attention so I can fix it.

Scheduling/Meetings

  • Mornings are my Maker time – working on the key tasks that move the business forward.  I aim to keep any meetings to the afternoon as much as possible to protect these focus blocks.

 

  • I limit meetings as much as possible, both number & length.  If it can be summarized in a text, email, voice note, or quick Loom video, save us both the time.  If we absolutely need a meeting, we condense the time as much as possible (15-minute blocks) and prepare a detailed agenda that is sent out prior to maximize the effectiveness of our time together.

 

These are the conditions I found best support me in delivering exceptional results.  I appreciate the ways in which you can honor them so I can do what you brought me here to do – win.
